This course is suitable for anyone who has taken Susan’s introductory 6 week book making course, or Susan & Laura’s 1-day book making workshop. Each book is made over 2 weeks so it’s best to attend each session if possible.

Introduction to Lino Printing
Sat 1st October
10 - 4
Tutor is Holly Mure

For those who are new to Lino cutting, this is the art of etching a design into a linoleum tile using a chiselled tool and impressing the uncarved areas onto card or chosen material. This represents the mirror image of the design.
The most simplistic design can have a big impact when it becomes a monochromatic print. You can learn how to achieve large and small etches with areas of defined detail .
If you think this is something you’d like to try then please join this introduction into Lino printing and see where it leads you.
