Sunday 27th Sept
10 - 4pm
Tutor is Kerrie Venner
In this workshop, we will be inspired by Ancient Egypt.
Working from beautiful images found in the Treasures of the Cairo Museum book that will be available at the workshop, we will make imitation lapis lazuli, carnelian and turquoise out of polymer clay.
Using simple modelling methods we will create a gorgeous winged scarab focal bead, with complementary accessory beads of carnelian, lapis lazuli and turquoise.
You will take home a lovely selection of beads that can be made into your own unique treasure from Ancient Egypt.
Advice will be available on stringing and construction of your neckpiece, but due to time constraints, there won’t be the opportunity to create your jewellery in the class.
Skill level: beginner with some experience of working with polymer clay upwards.
Please note that the images where taken from Pinterest - makers unknown.
These are not the items you will be making - for inspiration only!
